What is special about our 2011 First Flush Okayti Darjeeling tea is the scent of the fresh leaves that gives a hint of rich buttery, toasted, chocolate. The type of tea is made from small Sinensis leaves that have very few buds and when brewed they turn into different shades of green, dark green brown leaves. The leaves give out an intense scent of freshness from the herbs that smells like warm cooked vegetable, fruit and floral notes and finally with a tint of almond in it.  To obtain the best liquor the leaves must be infused in warm water of about 85 degrees for around 3 minutes.  Perfectly infused Okayti Darjeeling black tea gives out gleaming golden yellow liquor that is so appealing to the eyes. It covers the room with its rich floral scent that smells of rose and honeysuckle, an aroma that is so enticing to the nostrils.
