It seems like every storage auction show on TV, someone always finds some collectable, antique, or high end item worth a bunch of cash. Don’t become a treasure hunter!  If you have money to burn and you are just bidding on units for the fun of it, you are an auction minority. The majority of us consider this a profession or a serious part time job to help pay the bills and put food on our tables.

#1 Most Important Tip! Do not become a “Crazy Vegas Gambler”! Chances are you will pay way too much for units and set yourself up for failure.

#2 Do your homework. Arrive early, bring cash and be prepared. Always have a game plan and a set of rules and stick to them.

#3 Study hard. Learn to know name brands and what items are worth. You are bidding on storage auction units to make a profit. Profit is the #1 reason for your efforts. Bid smart and don’t worry if you go home without a unit. Never arrive at an auction with the mentality that you must buy a unit today. Get to know your competition and try to have just a little bit of fun.
