Now that you have brainstormed all of your ideas for your site; its time to come up with a name for your new site – keep in mind that this name is going to be somewhere in your domain name. For Example, the name of my site is Angelic Devil Television after my company name and my domain name in “myadtv".

Coming up with a name is yet isn’t the most easy task in the world to accomplish, but its like coming up with a name for your unborn child; once you come up with the name it just rings a bell in your head and you are stuck on it. You have to come up with something that you like, but also keep in mind your brainstorming list. When you answered what your site is going to be about and as well as your target audience; that must play a huge part in your site name as well as your domain name – which we will get into domain names at a later time and another article.

I actually own 3 companies, all three of them I carefully choose names for. The first is of course ADTV – Angelic Devil Television (formerly FDX Productions) – the next is SouthSide Designz, and last, but not least its TexasDataHost.

Angelic Devil Television came about quite easily actually, as I have said in another article; I am a wrestler and with being a wrestler I have a tag team partner -- who happens to be my best friend (and like my sister). The name of our tag team is The Angelic Devils – with her as the Angelic Devil and me as the Demonic Angel (playing off the yin and yang of life). SouthSide Designz was also pretty easy; I knew that I wanted a design company so the“design” part of the name was pretty obvious, then the fact of where I live – the southside of the country; not the southside of the city – SouthSide Designz came out of practically nowhere and it stuck, if you ask me where I came up with spelling it as “Designz”, I cannot tell you because I have no clue why, it just stuck that way. Lastly there is TexasDataHost – one word – this is where all of my companies come together as one. TexasDataHost is a web services (web hosting) provider, you can get your customized templates and graphics from ADTV and SouthSide Designz and then I can also help you with hosting and domain registration. Now, enough of my shameless plug for my companies; now back to what I was telling you guys.

Coming up with a name is a fairly simple process, remember the answer you had for who it is that you want to reach out to? Try to use keywords to cover the basis of your name. Let's say you wanna make a site that offers music downloads – free or paid does kinda matter as well, keep that in mind -- you can have something with “music",“mp3",“artist", or anything else that is a keyword pertaining to music.  Now let's say that you have a website that you want to offer free tutorials then you may have something in your name such as,“tutorial",“free", or“help".

The name of your site and most of the content that you have will determine how well your site will do on the Internet.

Finally, you want to make sure that you aren't infringing on anyone; so make sure that your site name is different from someone else, if you are using an acronym --like I have done with ADTV -- make sure that you clarify the name of your site by stating what the acronym means.

I will be the first to tell you that coming up with the name isn't all that great of a task.  When I came up with the name for all of my sites it was not very easy, but I had confidence that I would come up with the right name eventually.  When it came to Angelic Devil Television the decision was quite simple as well as with SouthSide Designz.  But when it came to TexasDataHost it became a bit harder to come up with a name for my newest company.  But eventually, the name came to me as I too went back and answered the questions that I listed in my previous article most to my disbelief it was fairly easy that the name would appear so quickly in my hand.

I suggest, that anyone making a web site whether you are a professional or a novice, go back and read my previous article and review the steps that I have listed.  But if you would rather take it from a more professional person than you can visit W3schools.com and skip the work that goes into brainstorming a coming up with a name for your site, it is free to the heart's desire to go that route but I must warn you that W3schools only shows you how to format your html and CSS. CSS is the hardest part of making a website to some people, although it is fairly easy to do it. But for those that can wait; that tutorial will be coming soon for your pleasure.

I'm not claiming to be a guru at this; I have actually gotten that comment before but the fact of the matter is I don't claim to be, because there are still things that I must learn as well and as soon as I learn how to do something; I come back and share it with you guys and girls out there that want to get their own piece of the internet.
