Consistency is more important than going big on anything
a few times. On average people need to seen something 7-9
times before they are at the buying stage. If you just go
big a few times a year on marketing - you will not do as
well compared to doing marketing once a week to a smaller
targeted market.

Now another secret is to learn to brand yourself and to
market what you offer or do in terms of the benefits and
stay as far away as you can from marketing what you do
if it is even close to a commodity.

Even if you are marketing or selling a program or business
that offers something rare or not offered by other companies
you will have other representatives or associates most
likely who are also selling.

You can get many of the people who hear about the business
and start to google or search for information about it
after being told about the business by someone else to
join you if you know how to use attraction marketing.

Let's say Jim joins a new business program and tells
John about it, John doesn't know Jim very well, but Jim
was taught to get as many numbers as he can from people
and call them to sit down and go over the business.

John then goes out to search the web to learn about this
new business. If you build a website with your story, and
document your success and then offer to train people who
join you how you did it and give them tools to jump start
them in business - John is likely to join you instead of
Jim because John does not like the idea of having to chase
customers and call them. Which is what Jim is doing.

You on the other hand because you have setup a website to
sell for you, not by trying to out right sell, but in
telling your story and what you do and how you will help
people do what you did - get John who becomes your lead
on auto pilot and then wants to join you.

You also can drive thousands of people to your website and
talk in that way online through your website to far more
people than Jim ever could.

You also do not outright market the business, you market
the benefits of the business. Or if you have your own
online company and do websites, or consulting or what
ever you sell - learn to start marketing it through
benefits and market to peoples needs. Do not try to sell
what you do, but market to meet peoples needs. Do this
also while branding yourself, don't market your business,
but market you and establish yourself as the expert in
what you do by your marketing.

We live in a time when your level of skill is seen mostly
by how you market it - how much you have does not matter
nearly as much as how well you market the image you do
have it. Long term word of mouth advertising is effective
and it does work, but it is slow and starting out you will
not have much if any of it. So you must create your place
in the market place by marketing yourself to be the
expert.
